James Mark Snow was born Sept. 20, 1938 in Talladega, Alabama. He was the son of Walker Washington and Marie (Horton) Snow. James married Marie Louise Moore on May 15, 1995 in Cedartown, Georgia. They had celebrated twenty-two years together.
James served his country in the United States Navy. After he finished his tour he worked for the government as a shipping clerk. He was a preacher who had been a pastor for over thirty years. James retired and he worked as a maintenance engineer with an electrician specialty degree.
They had lived in Cape Fair, Mo. before moving to Branson. He attended the Cape Fair Baptist Church. He enjoyed fishing, being a handy man and spreading the gospel. James had an on-line devotional ministry which thousands were blessed by.
Rev. Snow entered into rest on October 18, 2017 at Shepherd of the Hills Living Center in Branson at the age of 79.
He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings Charlie Snow, Larry Snow, Ruth Forsyth and Shirley Knight.
Rev. James Snow is survived by his loving wife Marie Snow of the home, six sons J.D. Snow (Dee) of Harrison, Ark.; Ray Snow of El Dorado, Ark.; Dr. Bobby Snow (Rita) of New Bloomfield, Mo.; Tony Snow (Margie) of Old Union, Ark.; Jeff Rea (Andrea) of Mountain Side, New Jersey; Roger Jackson (Fannie) of El Dorado, Ark.; three brothers Bobby Snow (Viola) of La Mesa, Calif.; Johnny Snow of Cave Springs, Ga.; Dan Snow (Bonnie) of Greenville, S.C.; two sisters Lillie Jane Smith of Jacksonville, Ga.; and Betty Schafer of Sullivan, Mo.; along with many loved grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
