Celebration of life services for M.G. “Pony” Schmolke, 70, Branson, will be held 1 PM Saturday, Sept. 9, 2017, at the First Presbyterian Church, Branson.  Rev. Tom Willcox will be officiating.  Pony entered into rest Sept. 2, 2017 at Cox Medical Center, Branson.  Arrangements were under the direction of Snapp-Bearden Funeral Home and Crematory, Branson.

Milton Gordon Schmolke was born November 21, 1946 in Mason City, Iowa.  He was the son of Gordon Schmolke and Marjorie (Mishoe) Schmolke.  He served his country as a sergeant in the United States Marine Corps. serving in Vietnam.

Pony married Jennifer L. Hartjen on July 14, 1973 in Nashua, Iowa.  They had celebrated forty-four years together this past summer. Pony and Jenny had moved to the Branson area from Harlingen, Texas about twenty-eight years ago.

Pony was an inspector of residential septic systems.  He enjoyed fishing, boating, and reading westerns.  

Pony is survived by his loving wife Jenny Schmolke. He will be missed by many family and friends.
