Gestle Louise McMath

Gestle Louise McMath was born on October 23, 1945 in Bay City, Texas.  She was the daughter of Lawrence C. & Maxine Mitchell.  Gestle grew up in Bay City and graduated from high school there.  She attended beauty school in Texas and later attended nursing school.

On October 10, 1987, Gestle married Oscar Louis McMath in Reno, Nevada.  They continued living in Texas until 2003 when they moved to Branson.  Gestle loved animals and volunteered with the SPCA of Texas which operated two shelters and three spay/neuter clinics and locally she worked with the Taney County Humane Society.  She also attended Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church in Branson.

Gestle entered into rest on October 26, 2017 at Cox Medical Center South in Springfield at the age of 72.

She is survived by her husband, Oscar McMath of Branson; children, Robert Stephen Lewis of Missouri City, TX, Eric Mitchell Huss of Toms River, NJ, Susan LaVaughn Lewis of Jones Creek, TX and Catherine Hope Huss of Corpus Christi, TX; sister, Barbara Ann Lovern of Livingston, TX; grandchildren, Benjamin Joseph Solis, Michele “Misha” Marie Gamez, Jessica Elizabeth Gamez, Tom Christian Gamez and Grace Elizabeth Huss; and great grandson Nichola Joseph Solis.

Cremation arrangements were under the direction of Snapp-Bearden Funeral Home and Crematory, Branson.
