Beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle, William James “Bill” Pinkerton entered into Heaven on July 19, 2025 from his home in Branson at the age of 84.

Bill was born on May 20, 1941 in Compton, California to James Jackson Pinkerton and Vesta Ilene (Thompson) Pinkerton.  As a young boy, he grew up on a farm in Alpena Pass, Arkansas before his family moved back to California.

On November 18, 1961, Bill married his sweetheart, Linda D. (Diego) Pinkerton in Whittier, CA.  They lived in California raising their five children and Bill worked in the retail business and later in the insurance industry.

Bill and Linda moved to Branson in November of 2019 from Escondido, CA.  He attended First Baptist Church in Branson.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents, James & Ilene Pinkerton; sister, Jacqueline (Pinkerton) Bayer; brother, Leslie Dean Pinkerton; son in law Daniel Creed Bremerthon and grandson, Joseph Daniel Bremerthon.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Linda Pinkerton of Branson; children, Susan Bremerthon of Hollister, Diana Diego of Oakdale, MN, Alice Jones of Branson, James Pinkerton & wife Tonya of Escondido, CA and Anne Pinkerton of Springfield, MO; his five grandchildren, Sidney, Nathan, Lucas, William and Jackson; and his sister, Elizabeth (Pinkerton) Duran of Vacaville, CA.  He will be dearly missed.

A celebration of Bill’s life will be Tuesday, July 29, at 2:00 pm, at First Baptist Church, 400 S. Sunshine, Branson, MO 65616. 

Interment will be in Ozarks Memorial Park Cemetery, Branson under the care of Snapp-Bearden Funeral Home & Crematory.
