Walter Vavra Obituary

Walter S. Vavra, 86, of Reeds Spring, passed away Sept. 24, 2018. Cremation was provided by Snapp-Bearden Funeral Home & Crematory, Branson. Private burial will be held at a later date in Missouri Veterans Cemetery, Springfield.

Walter Stanley Vavra was born Feb. 2, 1932 in Brooklyn, NY. He attended high school in Brooklyn. After high school Stanley served in the United States Coast Guard for eighteen years. He had fought in two tours in the Vietnam War. Stanley also enjoyed going to casinos.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Stanley loved his family, of which he is survived by wife Brenda Vavra; daughter Lura Zoe Vavra; sister Ann Mikus; and a cousin Sonny.

In loving memory of Walter who served his country and lived for his family - May you feel no more pain and rest in peace. You will be missed by family and friends.
