Vernie Maxine Bowman

Graveside services for Vernie Bowman, 83 of Branson, will be Saturday, January 16, 2021 at 2:00 P.M. in Snapp Cemetery, Forsyth.

Vernie Maxine (Breedon) Bowman was born September 30, 1937 in Forsyth.  She was the daughter of K. Bliss Breedon and Ada (Moore) Breedon.  Vernie grew up in Forsyth and graduated from Forsyth High School.  She was the longtime Postmaster at Hollister Post Office.  After retiring from the postal service, Vernie worked for Dr. James Thress at his chiropractic office.  When she wasn’t working, Vernie loved being in the garden or doing yardwork.

She entered into rest on Thursday, January 14, 2021 at Cox Medical Center, Branson.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband Kenneth Bowman.

Vernie is survived by her brother Rex & wife Jo Breedon of Kirbyville and step-son Ken Bowman of Hollister.
