Robert Anthony “Tony” Drinkard was born January 3, 1955 in Oakland, CA . He passed away suddenly on November 6, 2024, at his home in Harrison, AR.
Tony's life was marked by his unwavering commitment to law enforcement. Over the years, he served with distinction as a peace officer with the Los Angeles County Sheriff, on the Los Angeles Police Gang Task Force, with Union City Police, the Arkansas State Police, the Arkansas Department of Corrections, and the Teller County Sheriff's Office. His brave actions earned him the prestigious Medal of Valor, established him as an Aggregate Expert with the San Diego Police Revolver Club, and he shone as a boxer in the California Police Summer Games.
In 2017, Tony served as President of the Blue Knights Colorado VI, further demonstrating his dedication to camaraderie and community within the police force.
Tony's life was enriched by his marriage to Patty Taylor on November 11, 2022, in Harrison. Their love was a great source of joy in his life for the twelve years together that they shared. Tony was also a cherished member of the Woodland Hills Family Church and found comfort and strength in his faith.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Patty Taylor; his children, Antone Drinkard, Kendall Drinkard, Kimberly Rosch, Kandice Winter, Kaitlyn Drinkard, and Kristina Drinkard; his brother, Ron Drinkard; and his grandchildren. Tony was preceded in death by his parents, Earl & Mary (Caldiera) Drinkard.
Funeral services for Tony will be on Saturday, November 23, 2024. Visitation will begin at 10:30 a.m. and funeral services will follow at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home with burial in Ozarks Memorial Park Cemetery, Branson.
