Obituary

Terry E. McKenzie, 72, Kissee Mills, Mo. entered rest on Tuesday, July 25th, 2023, at Cox Medical Branson. Private services will be held at a later date.  Cremation was under the direction of Snapp-Bearden Funeral Home and Crematory, Branson.

Terry Eugene McKenzie was born Oct. 3, 1951, in Kansas City, Mo.  He was the son of Fred W. McKenzie, Sr. and Dorothy Smith McKenzie.  He married Amy Nash on Aug. 1, 1972, in Branson, Mo.  They celebrated fifty-one years together.  Their song was Vince Gill's "Look At Us" because as his lyrics said, "if you wanna see how true love should be, then just look at us." Terry and Amy were blessed with two sons.  His family meant everything to him.  Terry would never miss a moment to spend time with family and he was beyond proud of his sons and grandchildren.

Terry was a carpenter and cook. He worked for the Farmhouse Restaurant for over thirty years.  He enjoyed playing softball and teaching the game to his sons.  Terry also liked to fish, play golf, bowl and was a fan of the Royals and Chiefs.  Big Bang Theory was his favorite show of all time.  He loved watching Jeopardy as well everyday with Amy.  

He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Fred McKenzie II, and two sisters Pat and Pamela.

Terry is survived by his loving wife Amy McKenzie of the home, two sons Eric McKenzie of Kissee Mills, Dustin McKenzie of Hollister, two brothers Larry McKenzie (Elaine) of Holden, Mo., Allen McKenzie (Marsha) of Kansas City Mo.; two sisters Lorna Foster (Dave) of Ark.; Kay Cummings of Berryville Ark. and six grandchildren.
