Steven Charles Weter, age 66, of Hollister, Missouri passed away Tuesday, October 20, 2020 at Cox Medical Center Branson in Branson, Missouri.
Steve was born in Chadwick, Missouri on August 10, 1954, the 10th child of Delbert and Mable (Pierce) Weter. On January 5, 2002 in Greenfield, Missouri he was united in marriage to Sherri Dunn who survives. Also surviving are daughter Jenna (James Howard) Moody of Ypsilanti, Michigan; his first wife, Wilma, and their 2 children, Lori (Scott) Pickens of Branson, Missouri., Cory (Erica) Weter of Merriam Woods, Missouri; four brothers, David (Marie) Weter of Chadwick, MO., Joe (Wilma) Weter of Springfield, MO., Gene Weter of Chadwick, MO., Dean Weter of Ozark, MO; one sister, Peggy Coffer of Ozark, MO; six grandchildren, Brandon, Jacob, Austin, Abby, Jim, Abbigale.
Preceding him in death were his parents, brothers Ronnie and James Thomas (infant brother); sisters Fern and Mary.
Steve was a very gentle, kind and humble man. He loved music from an early age and enjoyed playing several instruments. Usually you could find him playing music at family gatherings, local community centers, nursing homes and other community benefits. He worked many years as a school custodian and took on many side jobs to help support his family. Steve was always there to help family, friends and neighbors in their time of need without question. He loved God and was a member of the Friendly Baptist Church in Branson, Missouri. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
The family would like to express their gratitude to close friend Robert Lewis for helping with Steve’s care over the last two years.
Services for Steve will be at the Friendly Baptist Church, 2751 Kirkland Dr. Branson, MO on Saturday October 24, 2020 with visitation starting at 2:00pm and the funeral service at 3:00pm with Pastor Monty Dunn officiating. Graveside will be immediately following the service in Ozarks Memorial Park Cemetery, Branson.
