It is with profound sadness we announce the passing of our Sara. Easter Sunday, April 4, 2021. She was a loving mother, daughter, sister, and friend to all.
Her journey began in Garden City, KS on April 15, 1981. Daughter of Alice King, she was raised in Ulysses, KS and graduated from Ulysses High School in 1999. She graduated from Pratt Community College in 2001 with her associates degree. She then attended Pittsburg State University. Followed by Elijah Shane in 2010 and Emilia Alice in 2011. She was District Manager at Cato Fashions from 2003-2013. Since 2013 she has worked for Craw-Kan Telephone Cooperative in customer service.
Sara was a dedicated mother first and foremost. She treasured her children and embraced every moment with them. She especially loved her role as host at birthday parties and get-togethers. She made friends everywhere she went. She had a heart for connecting with people. She had a kind personality and never hesitated to help anyone. She will always be remembered as selfless and soft hearted.
Her favorite hobby was reading. She loved any and all books. They helped her gain knowledge, stay sharp, and even escape. Other hobbies include music, sports, and shopping. She loved all genres of music and participated in musicals and many other performances in high school and college. She also loved children. She spent most of her life babysitting, coaching, and loving as many children as she could.
