Salvatore "Sal" Forte

Salvatore "Sal" Forte, passed away peacefully on February 12, 2026, in Branson, Missouri at the age of 92. He was born on July 19, 1933, in Staten Island, New York, to Nicholas Forte and Connie (Caltabalata) Forte. After graduating from high school, Sal answered the call of duty and served his country with honor in the United States Air Force during the Korean War from 1951 to 1955.

Upon returning from service, Sal was hired at the local Steel Plant, where he dedicated many years of hard work. Sal was also committed to various clubs and organizations, including the Shrine Club. He had a passion for life's simple pleasures, such as dancing and golfing. Music was another source of joy for Sal; inspiring him to take up playing the guitar.

Above all, Sal's heart belonged to his family. He was a devoted husband to his late wife, Kathleen, whose memory he held dear, and his love for his daughter, Ellie Forte, was boundless, relishing every opportunity to create lasting memories with her.

Sal will be remembered as a lovely man.  Those who had the pleasure of knowing him, treasured his endearing, heartfelt nature.  He will be deeply missed.

A celebration of Sal’s life will be held at Snapp-Bearden Funeral Home & Crematory on March 4, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. with military honors by the United States Air Force and BVA 913.  Masonic Services will be conducted by Branson Lodge No. 587 A. F. & A. M.. Private interment will be held at a later date in Missouri Veterans Cemetery, Springfield.
