Sally Van Winsen

Funeral services for Sally Leona Van Winsen, 73 of Branson, will be Monday July 15, at 1:00 PM in the Snapp-Bearden Funeral Home and Crematory, Branson.  Rev. Jim Cariker will officiate.  Burial will follow in the Ozarks Memorial Park Cemetery, Branson.  Mrs. Van Winsen entered into rest on Friday, July 12, 2019.

Sally was born Sept. 24, 1945 in Kampsville, Illinois.  She was the daughter of Earnest and Mary (Taylor) Bland.   She married Robert Van Winsen on July 26, 1969 in Kampsville, Ill.  They had celebrated forty-seven years together before his passing in 2016.

Sally graduated high school, raised a family and went back to school and received her LPN license.  She had worked at a hospital in Pleasant Hill, Ill. and had also received her EMT License before she moved to Branson in 1985.

Her favorite hobbies were reading, bingo, casino’s and bird watching. She was a great mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Sally enjoyed playing and teaching everyday things to her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Robert Van Winsen; her son David Van Winsen; siblings Stanley Bland and Vera Rogers and two grandchildren Cody Jones and Trenton Tharp.

Sally is survived by her children Robert Van Winsen (April) Shell Knob, Mo.; Lori Shelton (David) of Pittsfield, Il.; Lisa Maples (Eddie) of Moorcroft, WY; Dawn Van Winsen of Merriam Woods, Mo.; Melissa Heuton (Jeff) of Branson West, Mo.; siblings Earl Bland of Vasco, Il.; Rocky Russel Bland of Pittsville, Ill.; Mike Bell of Springfield, Ill.; Nancy  Angel of Carrolton, Ill.; Edith Bowman of White Hall, Ill.; Mary Ann Johnson of Pleasant Hill, Ill.;  fifteen grandchildren and twenty-six great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be Monday July 15 at 12PM till service time at Snapp-Bearden Funeral Home and Crematory, Branson.
