Roy Grant Obituary

Roy Grant (Roy Boy), 80 of Forsyth, went to be with the Lord at Cox Medical Center in Branson, MO on October 7, 2020.

Roy was born September 27, 1940 in Alabama and raised there.  He spent eight years serving in the United States Air Force.  He also was a member of the Elks Lodge in Orange Beach, AL.

Roy met Syble in 1989.  They were married October 10, 1989 just five short months after meeting.

Roy was a private investigator for 35 years in Jackson, Mississippi.

Roy is survived by his wife of 30 years, Syble Grant of Forsyth; son, Anthony (Rocky) Grant of Madison, MS; his daughter, Tracy Kittrell of Jackson, MS; two step-sons, Monte Chrisco of Forsyth, MO, Count Chrisco of Paragould, AR; his twin brother, Ray Grant of Rutherfordton, North Carolina; brother, Jerry Grant of Cramerton, NC; and sister, Cheryl of Charlotte, NC.  Roy also leaves behind two granddaughters and one great-granddaughter; five step-granddaughters; one step-grandson; one great-grandson; many nieces, nephews and cousins and a special family member, Lindsay Ouzts of Alaska.

Before moving to Forsyth, Roy loved to spend time by the ocean and living at Orange Beach with Syble granted him that opportunity.  At home in Forsyth, Roy enjoyed watching the deer while sitting on his back deck.  If he were inside, you would certainly find Roy cheering on the Roll Tide as he was an avid Alabama Football fan!

Graveside services for Roy will be Saturday, October 10, 2020 at 2:00 P.M. in Ozarks Memorial Park Cemetery, Branson.  Pastor David Hamlin will officiate with military honors by the United States Air Force and Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 913.  Dinner will follow the service at New Vision Church in Taneyville, MO.
