Roy Lee Blevins entered into rest on Sunday, March 1, 2020 at his home in Omaha, Arkansas at the age of 82. Visitation will be Thursday evening, March 5, 2020 from 6:00 to 7:00 P.M. at the Branson Bible Church. Funeral services will be Friday morning, March 6, 2020 at 10:00 A.M. in Branson Bible Church with burial to follow in the Methodist Cemetery, Omaha. Arrangements are under the direction of Snapp-Bearden Funeral Home and Crematory, Branson.
Roy was born on January 17, 1938 in Omaha to Ira Blevins and Ivy (Mattox) Blevins. He worked operating heavy equipment including working for Table Rock Asphalt.
Roy married Virginia Mae Thurman on September 25, 1961 in Reno, Nevada. He was a member of Branson Bible Church. Roy loved to be in the garden and he enjoyed spending time with his family.
Roy was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Charles, J.T., Coy and Leo Blevins; and sisters, Voncell Gross, Vera Robinson, Ruby Atchison, Helen Daniels, Faye Houston and Betty Lou Keys.
He is survived by his wife, Virginia (Sug) Blevins of the home; son, Michael & wife Kristie Blevins, daughters, Sandy & husband Jimmy Carter and Sheryl & husband Buck Duggan all of Omaha; 7grandchildren, 11 ½ great grandchildren; brother-in-law Raymond Gross of Omaha and sister-in-law Erma Blevins of Hollister along with a host of family and friends.
