Ronald Wayne Baker was born on September 9, 1966 in Olathe, Kansas. He grew up in Haysville, Kansas and graduated from high school there. He attended trade school for sheet metal assembly and worked as a machinist on aircraft parts. Ron also served in the Army National Guard. On February 7, 1997 he married Dia (Farrell) in Hillsboro, Texas. They had lived in the Branson area the last 25 years, moving there from the Lake of the Ozarks.
Ron was the kindest man you’d ever meet. He was kind-hearted and would give you the shirt off his back. He had the best sense of humor and was so funny. He enjoyed fishing, camping, hunting, gardening and loved his animals. He was also really good at several things like fixing anything, driving backwards, playing different instruments and drawing. His greatest accomplishment and love was certainly being a dad and Papaw.
Ron passed away on Thursday, February 6, 2020 at his home in Taneyville at the age of 53.
He was preceded in death by one brother, John Terry.
Ron is survived by his wife, Dia Baker of Taneyville; children, Jordan Baker of Branson, Zylithe Baker of Versailles, Lena Logan (Christopher) of Kissee Mills, Meagen Reynolds (Kevin) of Versailles, MO; father, Fred Baker and wife Linda, mother, Patricia Terry and husband Steve; brothers, Monty Baker (PJ) of Tulsa, OK and Cody Terry (Tabitha) of Hillsboro, TX. He is also survived by his five grandchildren, Braeden Logan, Roxie Logan, Bentley Logan, Ashton Reynolds and Sebastian Reynolds.
