Robert McClain Obituary

On Friday, October 23rd, 2020, Robert E. McClain, loving husband and father of two children, passed away at the age of 88.  Bob was born on April 15th, 1932 in Hannibal, Missouri to Robert and Allie McClain.  Bob was the oldest of 7 and had the nickname of “Foot Foot.”  At a young age he moved to Conway, Arkansas and lived there until shortly after he graduated from high school.  In 1951, Bob joined the Navy.  He served during the Korean War on the USS Dextrous.  In 1957, Bob met Rita whom he later married in 1959.  They raised two children, Keith and Ronda where they lived in Huntington Beach, California.  In 1968 they moved to Oklahoma City.  Bob got his bachelor’s degree in education from Oklahoma State University in 1973.  Bob and Rita moved to El Reno in 1972 where Bob taught drafting and design at Canadian Valley Votech for 16 years. Bob resided in Kimberling City, Missouri.

He was preceded in death by his father, Robert, his mother, Allie, three of his brothers and one sister, and his wife, Rita.  He is survived by his son, Keith and his wife Jackie of Yukon, Oklahoma, his daughter, Ronda of Branson, Missouri, his granddaughter, Kara and her husband Adam Armoudian, his great grandson Weston Armoudian of Yukon, Oklahoma, grandson Jared McClain and his wife Cami of Colorado Springs, his brother Jimmy McClain of Conway, Arkansas and his sister Wilma Thompson of Little Rock, Arkansas.
