Robert Michael Ayres was born on August 24, 1958 in Fort Worth, Texas.  He was the son of Robert Franklin Ayres and Judith Ann (Simpson) Ayres.  He graduated from Branson High School and went on to earn a bachelor’s degree from Southwest Missouri State University in Springfield.  On October 29, 1983 he married Kimberly Whitson in Rolla, Missouri.  They were blessed with two children and a wonderful life together.

Robert worked as an insurance agent.  He had received the Prudential Insurance Sales Award for his hard work.  He also was active in Boy Scouts of America. Robert was a church member at the Fellowship at Cross Creek in Branson.  In his free-time he loved being outdoors, trap shooting, fishing or hunting.  He was a member of the Missouri Trap Shooters Association.  He was also a great story teller and loved history, and would keep you hanging on every word. 

Robert entered into rest on Monday, September 3, 2018 at the age of 60 in Branson.

He was preceded in death by his father and one brother, Brian Ayres.

He is survived by his wife, Kim Ayres of Highlandville; his mother, Judy Ayres of Wagoner, OK; his children, Jason Ayres and wife Jesse of Kansas City, MO and Ashley Claxton and husband Jared of Ozark; two brothers, Pat Ayres and wife Ronda of Highlandville and Dan Ayres and wife Cyndi of Wagoner, OK; his two grandsons, Robert Brooks Ayres and Jordan Ayres, ten nieces and nephews and numerous great nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Wednesday evening, September 5 from 4:00-6:00 P.M. in Snapp-Bearden Funeral Home and Crematory, Branson.  Funeral services will be Thursday, September 6 at 10:00 A.M. in the funeral home with Pastor Joe Cross officiating.  Burial will follow in Ozarks Memorial Park Cemetery, Branson.
