Funeral services for Richard D. Holland, 72, Branson will be held Saturday, April 7, 2018, at 2:00 PM in the Snapp-Bearden Funeral Home and Crematory, Branson. Pastor Larry Kackley will officiate with burial following in the Ozarks Memorial Park Cemetery, Branson. Mr. Holland passed away Monday, April 2, 2018.
Richard Dale Holland was born May 13, 1945 in Oklahoma City, Okla. He was the son of Dale and Pauline (Boyd) Holland. He married Kay Frances Dickinson on September 25, 1980 in Forsyth, Missouri. They had celebrated thirty-seven years together last fall.
Richard had lived in Fort Smith, Arkansas for many years working for the Southwest Times Recorder. He retired from the newspaper and moved to the Branson area. Richard worked for Silver Dollar City as a dispatcher and retired in 2010.
He was a member of the Amateur Radio Emergency Services. Richards favorite hobby was the amateur radio, and spending time with his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents and son Henry DeWane Johnston.
Richard is survived by his loving wife Kay of the home; daughter Tracy Ford (Tim) of Hollister; brother Allen Holland of Kansas City, Mo. and sister Carolyn Krueger of Kearney, Mo.; including four grandchildren and one great granddaughter.
Visitation will be from 12:30 PM till service time on Sat. April 7, Snapp-Bearden Funeral Home and Crematory, Branson.
