Ralph A. Steward, 79 of Branson passed away January 22, 2019 at his home. A memorial graveside service will be held Friday 12:00 p.m. on January 25, 2019 at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Springfield, Missouri with full military honors. Arrangements and cremation are under the direction of Snapp-Bearden Funeral Home and Crematory, Branson.
Ralph was born December 16, 1939 in Zearing, Iowa to Ralph and Lula (Bryant) Steward, Sr. He grew up loving to fish in Van Cleve, Iowa. Ralph worked as a waste water plant operator after his honorable service in the United States Navy. Once retired, Ralph pursued his interest to travel by motorhome for more than a decade before calling Branson home. His other interests included being around antique cars, enjoying Branson’s country music and having a great love for animals.
Ralph is preceded in death by his parents, his first wife Lynda, two brothers Lloyd and Lyle, four sisters Opal, Arla, Hazel, and Lila, and a great grandson Logan.
Ralph is survived by his wife Glennys of the home, his daughters, Ruby Ahlgren of Minnesota, Teresa (Rodney) Eggleston of Kansas, and Crystal (Roy) Schouviller of Minnesota; stepchildren Ronald (Jan) Sherman of Iowa, Carol (Larry) Davis of Iowa, Roxanne (Randy) Peterson of Iowa, sister-in-law, Edna Steward of Iowa, eight grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Ralph’s honor are requested and may be made to an animal shelter or veteran organization of the donor’s choice.
