Paul Pheasant Obituary

Paul Ernest Pheasant was born on May 11, 1940 in Williamsburg, Pennsylvania to Homer Marion Pheasant and Cora Belle (Brumbaugh) Pheasant.  He grew up in Pennsylvania and graduated from Morrison Cove High School in Martinsburg, PA.  Paul graduated from Manchester College in Manchester, Indiana and later earned a master’s of divinity from Bethany Theological Seminary in Oak Brook, IL.  Paul faithfully served as a pastor in Ohio and Maryland.  He had also worked in sales for the World Book Encyclopedia company.  Paul became a bus driver for Kirbyville Schools after he moved to Branson in 2005 from Maryland, drove the shuttle for Silver Dollar City, and ended his working career at Wyndham two years ago.

Paul married his loving wife Patricia “Pat” (Groves), on March 18, 2018 in Blue Eye, Missouri.  Paul continued to serve Christ as an usher at Faith and Wisdom Church where he was a member. His desire to serve Christ through his church community was a passion he had up till the last month of his life. His love for people and his willingness to help those in need knew no boundaries.  

Paul entered into the presence of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Tuesday, August 11, 2020 at Cox South Medical Center in Springfield at the age of 80.

He was preceded in death by his first wife Patricia in 2010; his parents; brothers Phillip and Robert and sisters Thelma and Betty.

Paul is survived by his wife Pat (Patricia) Pheasant, daughters, Rebecca Fraley (Brian) of Visalia, CA and Beth Caldwell (Kevin) of Glendale, AZ; son, Christopher Henninger (Kristen) Peoria, AZ, brothers, Marion, Gerald and Clay Pheasant all of Pennsylvania and sister Jane Shreiner of PA.  Paul is also survived by step-children, Julie Haley (Craig) of Glen Burnie, MD, Jay Fletcher (Jenny) of Cleveland, OH, Marci Linson (Craig) of Blue Eye, MO, April Smith-Perry (Shannon) of Branson and Robin Smith-Thomas of Hollister along with eleven grandchildren, Kyle, Tyler, Kathryn and Maria Fraley, Geoffrey and Alexis Henninger, Braden and Keira Caldwell, Abby Haley, Victoria and Daniel Fletcher, and  two great-granddaughters, Bria & Cora Fraley. He also is survived by numerous other step grandchildren.

A celebration of Paul’s life will be held on Friday, August 14, 2020 at 1:00 P.M. in the Faith and Wisdom Church, 3950 Green Mountain Dr., Branson with Pastor Ken Rensink officiating.  Burial will be at a later date in Fairview Cemetery, Williamsburg, PA.  In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in Paul’s memory to an organization of the donor’s choice.
