Patricia "Patty" Josephine (Wekamp) Schloo

Patricia “Patty” Josephine Wekamp Schloo, age 84, of Branson MO, passed away August 31, 2020 at her home in Branson surrounded by her life partner John Miller and some close friends.

Patty was born January 1, 1936 in St. Martins MO, the daughter of Lawrence (Bud) Wekamp and Francis (Meller) Wekamp Sartain.

She graduated from California High School in California Missouri.  Patty married and moved to the state California. She worked for Pacific Motor Trucking Company (San Francisco) and she retired from San Luis Obispo County School District in 2000.

During her years, she enjoyed traveling with family and friends, playing cards, reading and dancing.  She cherished family gatherings, and spoiling and spending time with her two grandchildren Brennan & Brelynn.  Patty was known for her generous nature, infectious laugh and smile that would welcome all.  She was never one to miss out on an adventure and welcomed all into her home and heart.  She was a born leader and a family spokesperson.

Survivors include her life partner of 20 years John Miller.  John has been the angel by her side since the day they met.  One son, Blane Schloo of Ventura, CA, two beloved grandchildren, grandson Brennan Schloo of Los Angeles, CA and granddaughter Brelynn Schloo (Fiancé, Ilai Eteaki) of Tustin, CA.  Other survivors include her siblings; Brother, Leroy (Pat) Wekamp of Jefferson City, MO.; Brother, Robert “Bob” (Shirley) Wekamp of California, MO.; Sister, Evelyn Steelman of Jefferson City, MO.; And, Brother, Allan (Pat) Sartain of Jefferson, MO.  Patty also had numerous nieces and nephews who will miss her dearly.

She was preceded in death by her parents and four sisters: Marjorie “Margie” Roll, Betty Walters, Shirley May Wekamp and Mary Margret Wekamp.

As per Patty’s wishes, she was cremated, and there will be a “Celebration of Life” held Sunday, September 13, 2020 at 3:00 pm with reception to follow.
