Patricia Hoover

Patricia Hoover, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on September 16, 2023, in Hollister, Missouri, after a brief illness. Born on August 7, 1949, in Pontotoc, Mississippi, Patricia was known for her thoughtful and friendly demeanor, which left a special memory to all who knew her.

Patricia attended Batavia High School in Illinois, where she laid the foundation for her successful career. She dedicated her professional life to AT&T, where she served as a layout specialist in communication technology. Patricia's commitment to her work was unwavering, she was a lifetime member of the workforce, and contributed significantly in her own right to the field of communication technology.

Beyond her professional accomplishments, Patricia was a woman of many interests. She was a competitive bowler, participating in numerous competitions and leagues throughout her life. But her interests were not limited to the lanes she also enjoyed playing bingo. Patricia also loved gathering her family for birthdays and special occasions. These events were a testament to her love for her family and her ability to bring people together in celebration.

Patricia is survived by her daughter, Alexandria (Robert) McClendon, and her grandchildren, Justin Hall, Dustin Hall, and Nicki Gimlin. She also leaves behind her three brothers, Roy Dillard, Larry (Sally) Dillard, Gary (Lucy) Dillard, and her sister, Sheila (Marshal) Knighten. Each of these family members held a special place in Patricia's heart, and she will be deeply missed by them. Patricia was predeceased by her parents and a beloved daughter, Teresa Gimlin.

In remembering Patricia, family and friends will celebrate a life well-lived on September 30, 2023 at 11:00 a.m.in the Snapp-Bearden Funeral Home and Crematory. Her legacy is one of dedication, both to her work and her family. Patricia's life was a testament to the power of kindness, dedication, and love.
