Nathan "Nate" Godley Obituary

Nathan Charles “Nate” Godley was born on December 15, 1947 in Alhambra, California.  He was the son of Edwin & Hazel Lane (Keithley) Godley.  He moved with his family to Branson when he was a toddler attended school in Branson and graduated from Branson High School.

Nate proudly served during the Vietnam Conflict.  He worked as a general contractor and could fix anything.  He also took his skills to work for Taney County Water District #3 and put in many water lines in the Branson area.  Nate also proudly served as the Chief of Police in Rockaway Beach and the Rockaway Beach Fire Department.

Nate married his loving wife Christle on December 17, 1999 in Eureka Springs, AR.  They shared many great years together raising their children and making memories.  Nate was a great man and his presence will be deeply missed.

Nate entered into rest on Tuesday, August 17, 2021 at his home in Rockaway Beach at the age of 73.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Edwin & Hazel Godley.

Nate is survived by his wife, Christle Godley of Rockaway Beach; children, Nathan Godley of Branson, Christa Godley of Rockaway Beach and Josh Stolle of Rockaway Beach; his brother, Buck Godley and wife Donna of Rockaway Beach and niece, Ashley Godley Gibson.

A celebration of Nate’s life will be Saturday, August 28, 2021 at 5:00 P.M. at Snapp-Bearden Funeral Home and Crematory, Branson. Visitation will be at 4:00 P.M. before the celebration service.
