Michael Foy Teaster

Michael Foy Teaster was born on February 11, 1947 in Spartanburg, South Carolina.  He was the son of Foy Teaster and Pauline (Fowler) Teaster.  He graduated from North Charleston High School in Charleston, SC and went to work for the Department of Defense Navy.  On May 31, 1986, Michael married Marie (Goodyear) in North Charleston.  They had resided in Charleston and later Rockport, Texas before moving to Hollister, MO.

Michael was a Free Mason and member of the Hammerton Lodge #332 AFM.  He was a baseball fan and loved to watch the game.  Michael was also the best husband, father and grandpa.  He loved spending time with his grandkids and making memories with them.

Michael entered into rest on Monday, November 18, 2019 at Cox Medical Center Branson at the age of 72.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Michael is survived by his wife, Marie Teaster of Hollister; son, Michael Teaster, Jr. and wife Kristy of Prattville, AL and children Matthew, Jacob, Audrey and Clayton; son, Robert Teaster and wife Kathy of Branson and children Avery, Colby, Sam and Lila Mae and the children’s mother, Dawn T. Schade; son, Lucas Teaster of Charleston, SC; son, Andrew Teaster of Hollister; daughter, Janie Dillon and husband Greg of Branson and son Nolan; one brother, Don Teaster and wife Judy of Ravenel, SC; and sister, Janice Davis and husband Carlos of Eutawville, SC.

Visitation to celebrate Michael’s life will be from 4:00 to 6:00 P.M. on Thursday, November 21, 2019 at Snapp-Bearden Funeral Home and Crematory, Branson.
