Michael Montalto

Michael Montalto, 73, of Reeds Spring, MO entered into rest on July 1, 2019. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 1:30pm on July 20, 2019 at the StoneBridge Village Club House, Lake Room, 1600 Ledgestone Way, Reeds Spring, MO 65737.  Pastor Mark Hunsaker will officiate.  Services are under the direction of Snapp-Bearden Funeral Home and Crematory, Branson.

Michael Montalto was born July 19, 1945 in Kansas City, Missouri.  He was the son of Augustino “Gus” and Juanita (Belgiere) Montalto.  Michael grew up in Kansas City, MO, where he graduated from

St. Pius X High School.  After high school, Michael attended the University of Missouri earning a bachelor’s degree in physical therapy in 1972.  For many years, Michael enjoyed opening and managing his own practice in Blue Springs, MO before moving to Reeds Spring in 2000.  He retired from Mercy Hospital in Branson, MO.  In retirement, Michael began a woodworking business with much success.

Michael attended the Praise and Worship Church in Branson.  He enjoyed woodworking, sailing, reading, cycling, and cheering on Kansas City sports teams.  Michael was a loving husband, father and grandfather.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Michael is survived by his loving wife Joline Montalto of the home; previous wife Mary Johnson; three sons; James Montalto (Gina) of Lenexa, KS; Mark Montalto (Jamie) of Overland Park, KS; Michael Montalto (Rachel) of Colorado Springs, CO; step-children; Paul Logan (Stefanie) of Kansas City, MO; Tina Fortner (Jeff) of Washington, MO; brother Gus Montalto, Jr. and sister Nadine Cacioppo, both of Kansas City, MO; and eleven grandchildren.

There will also be a service in Kansas City, MO on July 27, 2019 at 10:00am at Resurrection Cemetery, 5001 NE Cookingham Rd., Kansas City, MO 64156 – outdoor chapel of the mausoleum.
