Michael Loewe Obituary

Michael Theodore Loewe, age 76, passed from this life on August 26, 2020. He was born in St. Louis, Missouri, on July 10, 1944, to Charles M. Loewe and Marie Meschede Loewe, who preceded him in death.

After graduating from McBride High School, Michael joined the US Navy Submarine Service. He later enrolled in studies at the University of Missouri St. Louis where he met Diane Franklin. They married in 1966. Michael received a BS in Economics from UM St. Louis and an MBA from UI Edwardsville. They raised their family in St. Louis, Chicago, and Milwaukee before retiring to Branson. Michael was devoted to his Catholic faith, his family, friends and community.

Michael is survived by his wife, Diane Franklin Loewe, son JC Loewe, daughter Kimberly Loewe Burgess, son-in-law Richard Burgess, and granddaughters Bailey Burgess, Gwendolyn Burgess, and Faith Loewe. Son Christopher Brockfeld Loewe preceded him in death. A memorial service with full military honors will be held at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Springfield in the spring.
