Markus Dwayne Wiedmaier was born on September 5, 1957 in Cameron, Missouri to Calvin and Betty (Bartee) Wiedmaier.  After graduating from Cameron High School, Markus began working as a carpenter with his father. He later had his own construction company, M. Wiedmaier Construction out of Winston, MO.

Markus was a spirited and bold man. He was loved dearly by his family and a little bit onery.  He always had something to do and wasn’t one to sit around.  Keeping busy involved using his skills at woodworking.  He made beautiful furniture out of cedar wood and other pieces that will be forever cherished by his family.  He also enjoyed hunting, especially bears and deer, and riding on his tractor.

He entered into rest at his home in Omaha, Arkansas on Tuesday, August 13, 2024 at the age of 66.

Markus will be greatly missed by his daughters, Christina Silvey, Lisa Jones and Sara Burnett; his sons, Justin Wiedmaier and Neal Wiedmaier; daughter-in-law, Alex Silvey; son-in-law, Bob Jones; grandchildren, Bobby “Lil George” Jones, Sophie “Lynn” Burnett, Harper “Jo” Burnett, Autumn Silvey, Whitney Foster, Jackson White and Daisy Allen; siblings, Linda Thompson, Cheryl, Debbie, Calvin & wife Yavonne, Randy Wiedmaier & wife Cheryl, Pamela Selman & husband Tom along with many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Asa Wiedmaier; granddaughter, Destiny Lynn Burnett; sisters, Cinda Grass and Judy Cringan; brothers, Craig Wiedmaier and Rick Wiedmaier; brother-in-law, James Thompson; nieces and nephews, Shelly Wiedmaier, Abel Livingood and Caleb Townsend and great nephew, KC Grass.

A celebration of  life gathering will be held for Markus on Sunday, September 1, 2024 at 1:00 pm at the Elks Lodge, 9018 NE Hwy 69, Cameron, MO 64429. 

Cremation is in the care of Snapp-Bearden Funeral Home and Crematory, Branson.
