Marilyn Mays Obituary

Celebration of life service for Marilyn M. Mays, 78, Branson, will be Monday, April 17, 2023 at 2PM in the Snapp-Bearden Funeral Home and Crematory, Branson. Burial following in the Ozarks Memorial Park Cemetery, Branson.  Mrs. Mays entered into rest on Wed. April 12, 2023.

Marilyn Mae Mays was born Oct. 15, 1944 in Bardstown Jct., Kentucky.  She was the daughter of W.S. and Sue Lillie (Skaggs) Mason. Marilyn married the love of her life Donald Mays on Nov. 2, 1961 in Wilson, Ark.  They had celebrated sixty-one years together.  Marilyn and Don were blessed with three daughters.

Marilyn and Don owned and operated a landscaping business in Florida before moving to the Tri-Lakes area in 2004.  She enjoyed gardening and had a quite a green thumb growing flowers. Marilyn attended the Faith Life Church in Branson.

She was preceded in death by her parents, an infant daughter and her siblings Thomas, Harold, Matt, Bud and Irene Moore. 

Marilyn is survived by her loving husband Don of the home; two daughters Mary Ashley of Oakwood, Texas; Jennifer Huffman (Ryan) of Forsyth, four grandchildren Thomas Ashley, Michael Ashley; Jordan Larios and Katelynn Young; five great grandchildren Gabe, Maci, Maggie, Zeke, and Daniel.

Visitation will be at Snapp-Bearden Funeral Home and Crematory Monday from 12:30 until service time.
