Marie Etchison Williams

Marie Etchison Williams was born on March 22, 1925, the oldest child of Arlis M. and Donnie Elizabeth (Mattox) Etchison.  She married Bill Williams, Jr. on September 22, 1940.  They celebrated 60 years before his death in 2000.  She was a charter member of the Lakeland Baptist Church in Omaha, AR.  She worked as a housekeeper for motels in Branson and at College of the Ozarks, making fruitcakes.  Marie was a devoted wife and mother.  She loved her family and quilting and going to church. 

Marie entered into rest on Friday, November 2, 2018 at the age of 93.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Bill Williams, Jr., a son Harold Williams, two brothers, A.J. and Cecil Ray Etchison, her sister, Bonnie Biasi and a niece Kathy Biasi Hobbs, one daughter-in-law, Peggy Sue Lambe Williams and one great grandson Dontae.

She is survived by two sons and their wives, Cecil and Mary Williams of Taneyville, MO; Roy and Martha Faye Williams of Omaha, AR; one daughter and husband, Modene and Tim Chaney of Omaha, AR; ten grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren along with a host of family and friends. 

Visitation will be Monday evening, November 5 from 6:00 – 7:30 P.M. in Snapp-Bearden Funeral Home and Crematory, Branson.  Funeral services will be Tuesday, November 6, 2018 at 10:00 A.M. in Lakeland Baptist Church, Omaha with Pastor Carl Garvin officiating.  Burial will follow at Lakeland Cemetery.
