Lydia Marie Allen

Lydia Marie Allen, 56 of Springfield, MO, joined the great cloud of witnesses who surround the heavenly throne of God on Sunday, August 27, 2023.

She was preceded in death by her parents W. L. “Bill” and Rema Jane Farr Allen.

She is survived by her siblings, W. Lane Allen of Springfield, Jane Allen Huffstetler (David) of Springfield, Martha G. Sparrow of Strafford and Carol Allen Miller (Steve) of Branson, Missouri; her nieces and nephews Trisha Allen Reiser (Michael) of Parker, Colorado, Trey Lane Pleasants of Monroe, Louisiana, Eric Wesley Pleasants of Branson, Missouri, Lynne Regan Sparrow of Knoxville, Tennessee, Jeremy Addison Miller of Davis, California and Bryan Walker Miller (Christy) of Lawrence, Kansas as well as 5 great nieces and nephews.

Lydia was born on July 21, 1967 in Monroe, Louisiana.  She attended school in Monroe and moved from Monroe to Branson in 1990, residing here till 2014. She was a faithful servant of Christ, loved being in church and singing in the choir.  Lydia also enjoyed music, musicals and going to Branson shows. Her family was of the greatest importance to her and she loved time with all of them, especially her nieces and nephews. Lydia will be remembered for her happy smile, all embracing hugs and love of people.

Graveside services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 30, 2023 at Ozarks Memorial Park Cemetery in Branson, MO with Pastors Dennis and Phyllis Winzenried officiating.

A Service of Witness to the Resurrection will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 31, 2023 at Trinity Presbyterian Church, 1900 Barataria Street in Springfield, Missouri with Pastor Chris Miller officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made to your local church ministries in memory of Lydia.
