Graveside services for Leroy Duke, 76 of Hollister, will be Friday, December 22, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Springfield with full military honors.
Leroy Alva Duke, Jr. was born in Springfield, MO on March 12, 1947. His family moved with his father’s ministerial duties giving Leroy the opportunity to be a part of different communities while growing up. He proudly served with the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. Leroy married his first wife Darlene and began his family along with owning and operating his own mechanic shop. After the passing of Darlene, Leroy met the second love of his life, Cindy, and they were married in 2002 in Eureka Springs. They enjoyed a full and cherished life together.
Leroy’s love of automobiles extended beyond his profession. He enjoyed attending car shows and showcasing his ’55 Ford truck. Leroy was a wheeler-dealer and loved finding and making deals. He was also a giving man, always lending a helping hand and assisting those in need. He had many friends and enjoyed visiting and joking, leaving others enriched.
Leroy entered into rest on Friday, December 15 at Cox Medical Center in Branson.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Leroy Duke, Sr. and Kathleen Duke; wife Darlene; son Raymond Duke and brother David.
He is survived by his loving wife, Cindy Duke; son, Randy Duke & wife Laura; brother Paul Duke and two grandsons, Ethan and Logan.
