Services for Lee Shipley will be Thursday, April 4, 2024 in Snapp-Bearden Funeral Home & Crematory, Branson. Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. with a celebration of Lee’s life to follow at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
Born Lee Ray Shipley on March 13, 1953 in Gassville, AR, Lee was the son of Henry & Elsie Shipley. He grew up in Mountain Home, Arkansas and graduated from high school there. On January 8, 1971, Lee married the love of his life, Arleta Johnson. They had resided in Hollister the last forty-four years, moving here from Mountain Home.
Lee was an amazing husband, dad and grandfather. He loved and cared for his family. He was also a man with a strong work ethic and worked many years at Hiland Dairy. In his retirement, he was able to enjoy golfing, fishing and his greatest joy, spending time with his grandchildren.
Lee entered into rest on April 1, 2024 at Cox Medical Center, Branson. He was 71.
Lee was preceded in death by his father, Henry Shipley and his brothers, Don and Gene Shipley.
He will be missed beyond measure by his wife, Arleta Shipley of Hollister; his children, Jeffrey R. Shipley (James Isaac Cody) of Bentonville, AR and Tammy Muller (Matt Muller) of Bella Vista, AR; his mother, Elsie Shipley of Mountain Home, AR and his cherished grandchildren, Fisher, Hunter, Arley and Jasper.
