Larry Stearns Obituary

Larry William Stearns, 83 passed away Tuesday, April 30th, 2024, at Cox Medical Center, in Branson, Missouri.

He was born October 16th, 1940, in Millersville, Missouri to Lawrence William and Laura Seabaugh Stearns. In 1957, Larry met his future wife Patricia Ann Oldham on a nearby farm. Larry and Pat were married July 3, 1960, in Burfordville, MO.

Larry and Pat moved to the nearby town of Jackson, Missouri, and was a supervisor at Superior Electric in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. In addition, he worked for Blair Industries and Lee Rowan/Rubbermaid. After his retirement from Lee Rowan, Larry wanted to keep active and decided to go back to work at Schnuck’s in Cape Girardeau.

In 2010, Larry and Pat packed up their household and moved to Forsyth, Missouri to be closer to their son and his family.

Larry enjoyed fishing, hunting, and spending time outside. He liked competing in shooting matches as well as trading vehicles. His favorite activity was time spent with family. From processing meat to helping Bill with different projects, Larry enjoyed taking care of any needs his family might have.

To cherish his memory, he leaves his sweet wife Patricia Stearns; brother Jeffery Lane and wife Carolyn Stearns, Millersville, MO, son William E. and wife LaShell Stearns, Walnut Shade, MO; grandson Phillip A. and wife Nichole, and great-grandchildren, Kennedy A., and Theodore A.
