At the age of 83, Larry Coleman Cottle peacefully passed away at his home in the early morning hours of December 12, 2025. Larry was born on November 30, 1942, in Peach Orchard, Arkansas, as the son of King Coleman Cottle and Goldie Cook.
Larry attended the Knobel School District where he earned his high school diploma. Following graduation he worked with his father on their family farm for 30 years where he grew rice, cotton, soybeans and milo until retiring. In addition to this, he also completed welding school and enjoyed socializing in his role as a shuttle driver for Andy Williams Theater. Larry continued working as a seasonal employee at Silver Dollar City where he ran Sullivan’s Mill processing cornmeal and wheat as well as making fresh-baked goods. Larry then transferred to work as a fry cook in Silver Dollar City’s main kitchen for the rest of his employment
On August 2, 1963 he married his beloved wife Judy Thompson. Together they had 2 daughters Kala and Kimberly Cottle. This past August they celebrated 62 years of marriage together. Larry was an honest, self employed farmer, and hard worker who enjoyed spending time with his family and watching his grandchildren grow up. He made many friends throughout his life and truly never met a stranger.
Larry is survived by his wife Judy Cottle of the home. His daughter Kala Spurlock and her husband John Spurlock of Mammoth Spring, Arkansas. His daughter Kimberly Ponder of Kirbyville, Missouri. Sisters Gwen Sircloumb of Valley Park, Missouri, Revonda Darnell of St. Ann, Missouri, and Deanna White of Corning, Arkansas. Grandchildren Rachael Walker of Fayetteville, Arkansas, Keegan Ponder of Kirbyville, Missouri and Hannah Ponder of Kirbyville, Missouri. His Great grandchild Charlie Mae Walker-Butzloff of Fayetteville, Arkansas.
Preceeding him in passing is his mother Goldie Cook of Peach Orchard, Arkansas. His father, King Cottle of Peach Orchard, Arkansas. Son-in-law Warren Walker father of Rachael Walker and son-in-law Josh Ponder, father of Keegan and Hannah Ponder.
Visitation for Larry will be Sunday December 14, 2025 at 10:00 A.M. with a brief service beginning at 10:45 a.m. at Snapp-Bearden Funeral Home and Crematory. A graveside service will follow at 11:00 a.m. in the Ozarks Memorial Park Cemetery, Branson.
