Joyce was born on January 7, 1946 to Herbert “PeeWee” Davis and Ida (Young) Davis and graduated from Hollister High School.  She started working at the Branson Café at a young age and retired from there after 63 years.  Her longtime dedication to the café and her impeccable service to her customers and people visiting Branson earned her special recognition.  She was featured on Fox News when they did a story on Branson as well as in the Branson Independent for her presence so many years in downtown Branson.  She was also crowned Plumb Nellie Queen.  Joyce was a fantastic bowler and enjoyed bowling at the Pleasure Bowl that was in Hollister.

Joyce’s greatest love was her family.  She is survived by her nieces Candace Gorman and Tonya Lautenschlager and the family she adopted and adored, Bobby Berry, who she considered a nephew, and his partner Cassandra Filtingberger and their children, Morgan Clements (Dylan), Sebastian Filtingberger, Jessica Lange, Robert Berry, Brandon Berry and his daughter Claire Clements; as well as Missy Peterson, who she considered a niece and predeceased her, and Missy’s children, Katrina Walker (Jeff), their children, Rivers Walker and Edward Walker and Derek Peterson (Lexi), and their children, Callie Peterson, Kylie Peterson and Gabriel Peterson.  Joyce will also be missed by the countless number of people her life touched.
