Josh Ponder Obituary

Josh Jay Ponder passed away peacefully in his home with his family on November 6th, 2021 at the age of 49. Josh was born to Gary and Kathy Ponder in Downers Grove Illinois on January 18, 1972. Josh graduated from Blue Eye High School and then attended College of the Ozarks before joining the United States Air Force. After leaving the military he worked for Midsouth Boiler Company before moving on to work at College of the Ozarks. Josh ran the Griffin Energy Center until his passing.

In 2001 he married his loving wife Kimberly and among them they have 3 children. Josh's first daughter Katherine lives in Baltimore Maryland. Keegan and Hannah still reside in the home. Despite only having three biological children many of his students were considered their own.

Josh spent his time with his family and working in his machine shop. Those who were close to him knew him as the walking manual for motors and transmissions. He was a very kind and generous person who would do anything for anyone.

He is survived by his wife Kimberly, his son Keegan and daughter Hannah of the home. His daughter Katherine of Baltimore Maryland. His parents Gary and Kathy of Ridgedale Missouri. His sister Dawn (Trevor) Hale of Blue Eye Missouri. And also nieces and nephews.
