Joseph Stein Obituary

A celebration of life service for Joseph Stein, 69 of Branson, will be Wednesday, October 9, 2019 at 2:00 P.M. at Faith Lutheran Church with Rev. Joel Kruger officiating.  Arrangements are under the direction of Snapp-Bearden Funeral Home and Crematory, Branson.

Joseph Lee Stein was born on December 4, 1949 in Belleville, Illinois.  He was the son of David Casper Stein and Audra Mae (Campbell) Stein.  He married his sweetheart, Debra Huenefeld on August 23, 1975 in St. Louis, MO.  Joe drove a truck for Coca-Cola for 34 years, delivering around the greater St. Louis area.  He and Debra moved to Branson 15 years ago from St. Louis and Joe went to work for the Showboat Branson Belle as a head cook.

Joe was a faithful member of Faith Lutheran Church.  He was very involved with the men’s club at the church.  He enjoyed cooking the meals for the group and had lots of good times with his buddies in the group.  In his free time, Joe enjoyed watching old movies and he never missed the chance to tell a joke.

Joe entered into rest on October 2, 2019 at his home in Branson.

He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant sister.

Joe is survived by his wife, Debra Stein of Branson; his daughter Audra Rodgers and husband Patrick of Branson; brother David Stein of St. Louis; and sisters, Marilyn Saunders of St. Louis and Trudy Liss and husband Andy of Florida.
