On August 15, 2024, Joseph Gerard Niehoff passed away peacefully in Branson, Missouri, at the age of 69.
Joe was born on March 12, 1955 in St. Charles, Missouri, one of ten children to Joseph & Berniece (Gittemeier) Niehoff. He grew up in Troy, Missouri, where he worked on the family farm and attended Sacred Heart elementary school, later graduating from Troy Buchanan High School in 1973.
In his professional life, Joe was a skilled mechanic, with a special love for classic muscle cars and a talent for painting automobiles.
Joe had been married to his loving wife, Beverly for 44 years. They were wed on June 28, 1980 in Troy, Missouri and moved to Branson four years ago from Moscow Mills, MO.
Those who knew Joe will remember his kind heart and selfless nature. He always made himself available and generously gave of his time to help others. He also enjoyed visiting with older individuals, sharing stories and offering companionship.
Joe will be lovingly remembered by his beloved wife, Beverly Niehoff of Branson; his siblings Ted Niehoff (Janet) of Troy, MO, Dennis Niehoff of Troy, Wayne Niehoff (Jill) of Moscow Mills, MO, Annette Conner (George) of Moscow Mills, Jane Wieman (Bill) of St. Peters, MO, Charlotte Rickman (Mike) of Troy, and Mary Rosen (Niles) of Moscow Mills, as well as his sister-in-law Janet Niehoff of Elsberry, MO, and brother-in-law Glenn Starkey (Kathy) of St. Peters along with several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Berniece Niehoff, his brother Paul Niehoff, his sister Janice Carney and her husband John and his in-laws, Leroy and Alice Starkey.
In Joseph’s memory, donations are requested to Taney County Animal Control at 255 Critter Trail, Hollister, MO 65672 or C.A.R.E. Animal Rescue, 1328 W. Sunshine St., Springfield, MO 65807.
Cremation arrangements are in the care of Snapp-Bearden Funeral Home & Crematory, Branson.
Burial will be at a later date at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Troy.
