Jose Diego Curbelo Obituary
Jose Diego Curbelo, passed away unexpectedly on March 29, 2025, in Branson, MO at the age of 70. He was born in the Bronx, NY, on February 2, 1955, to Diego and Maria Curbelo, who preceded him in death.
Jose's early education took place in his birthplace of Bronx, NY, but it was at Miguel Melendez Munoz high school in Cayey, Puerto Rico, where he completed his high school studies before furthering his skills with additional academic and technical training. His commitment to serving others was evident through his work in respiratory therapy at a local hospital and his proud service in the United States Army.
On September 6, 1975, Jose married the love of his life, Mayra, in Cayey, PR. They were blessed with two children: a son, Dino Curbelo (Thici) of Branson, and a daughter, Ariliz Curbelo (Daniel Harris) of Pennsylvania. Jose cherished his role as a grandfather to Ariana Quiroz, Jnaliz Figueroa, Kaleb, Ethan, Noah, Matthew, and Alex Curbelo. He is also survived by his brothers, Eduardo and Arnaldo Curbelo, and his sister, Lychi Curbelo.
A man with a fervor for storytelling, Jose took delight in reading, watching movies, and listening to music. He was happiest when he was surrounded by his family, especially while savoring the baked goods lovingly prepared by his wife, Mayra.
Jose will be deeply missed by all whose lives he touched.
