John Duncan Holcomb, Jr.

Graveside services for John D. Holcomb, Jr. 64 of Branson will be held Monday, Sept. 14 at 2 P.M. in the Mtn. Grove Cemetery, Branson. Mr. Holcomb passed away unexpectedly on Monday, Sept. 7, 2020 at the Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville, AR. Services are under the direction of Snapp-Bearden Funeral Directors, Branson.

John D. Holcomb, Jr. was born Nov. 29, 1955 at Bainbridge, Maryland.  He was the son of John D. Holcomb, Sr. and Valmore Stallings Holcomb.  The family moved to Branson when John was a young child and he graduated from Branson High School. He worked with his father at the Holcomb Pump Service, Branson. John was hired by the United States Postal Service where he was a postal carrier and then promoted to a mail clerk with the Branson Post Office.  John married Erin Turner on August 17, 1992 in Branson, Mo.  They had celebrated twenty-eight years together this past August.

John enjoyed his family especially the three grandchildren, Rylee, Gracie and Parker. He had a great sense of humor, loved a good story or joke, and was always willing to listen to others.

John was a member of the Mt. Grove School House and Cemetery Board.  He enjoyed the outdoors and watching wildlife.

John is survived by his loving wife Erin Holcomb of the home; two sons Ryan McCall of Branson and Brock Holcomb of Newton, Iowa; one sister Sandy Beets of Gladstone, Mo.; and three grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be held Monday, Sept 14 from 12:30 till service time at the Mtn. Grove School House, Branson.
