Obituary by John Fulton –
John K. Fulton was born, January 15, 1942, in Kansas City, MO and raised just outside of the city on sixteen acres by parents, John A. and Verona (Aden) Fulton.
On April 1, 1963, on a blind date, I met the love of my life, Nancy Jennings. On July 19, 1963, three and a half months later, we drove to Miami, OK and got married. Best thing I ever did in my life was marrying Nancy. We lived many different places until moving to Branson in 1986. The next best thing was raising our two great boys, Jeff and Mike and we also have two wonderful daughters-in-law, Nancy and Marsha. Now they won’t have to wonder what stupid thing I will say next. Also have five good grandchildren, Avery, Bailey, Cameron, Ivan and Isaiah.
John passed away at his home in Hollister on Saturday, September 14, 2024 at the age of 82, surrounded by his family. He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Nancy Fulton of Hollister; sons, Jeff (Nancy) Fulton of Frisco, TX and Mike (Marsha) Fulton of Kirbyville; grandchildren, Avery Fulton of Tulsa, OK, Bailey Fulton of Frisco, Cameron Fulton of Norman, OK, Ivan Fulton of Rolla, MO and Isaiah Fulton of Columbia, MO.
Services will be Saturday, September 21, 2024 at Sardis General Baptist Church, 10034 State Hwy 76, Forsyth, MO. Visitation will begin at 12:00 pm with funeral services to follow at 1:00 pm. Burial will be in Brittain Cemetery and to honor John’s service in the United States Marine Corps during Vietnam, where he rose to the rank of Captain and received many honors including the Purple Heart, military honors will be rendered graveside.
