John Jackson Franklin, Jr.

Services for John Franklin, Jr., 72 of Branson, will be Sunday, August 1, 2021 with visitation from 5:00-6:00 P.M. at Grace Community Assembly, 3101 Gretna Road in Branson, MO and funeral services to be held Monday, August 2, 2021 at 10:00 AM in Grace Community Assembly.  Burial will be in Bethany Cemetery, Bethany, OK at 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday, August 3, 2021. 

John Jackson Franklin, Jr. was born on August 31, 1948 in Arkansas to John J. Franklin, Sr. and Edith Franklin.  He graduated Seiling High School in 1966 in Seiling, OK.  John served in the United States Army during the Vietnam Conflict.  He worked as a security guard for a vocational school in Oklahoma. 

On October 14, 2006 John married his loving wife Nerinda in Oklahoma City.  They moved to Branson in 2018 from Oklahoma.  John was a devoted Christian and a member of Grace Community Assembly of Branson.  He enjoyed Bible study and Biblical teaching on the end times. 

John entered into rest on Sunday, July 18, 2021 at Cox South Medical Center in Springfield.

He is preceded in death by his parents and one daughter, Jolene Franklin.

John is survived by his wife, Nerinda Franklin of Branson; son, Jaran Franklin of Moore, OK; daughter Stevi Franklin of Branson; step-children, Ryan Roach of Altus, OK, Griff Roach of Branson and Bethany Roach of Burns Flat, OK; three brothers, Don Franklin of Haworth, OK, Steven Franklin of Jacksonville, TX and Robert Franklin of Panama along with twelve grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
