Funeral services for Jim Blevins, 84 of Springfield, will be Monday, March 16, 2020 at 10:00 A.M. in the First Assembly of God Church located on T Hwy in Branson. Burial will follow in Ozarks Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Snapp-Bearden Funeral Directors, Branson.
James Alfred Blevins was born November 3, 1935 in Seymour, Missouri. Jim served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He lived for a time in Kansas City where he worked in automobile manufacturing before moving to Southwest Missouri. Jim worked over 25 years at Paul Mueller in Springfield. He was of the Baptist faith and had attended Harmony Freewill Baptist in Ava and First Baptist in Seymour.
Jim entered into rest on Thursday, March 12, 2020 at Mercy Hospital in Springfield.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Viola (Mason) Blevins; brothers, Robert, Dorsey and Wayne Blevins and sisters Lucille Spangler and Velma Young.
He is survived by numerous extended family members.
