Jack Verdot Obituary

Cherished husband, father, grandfather, and friend, Jack Verdot, passed away on Saturday, April 11, 2026 at Cox Medical Center in Branson at the age of 81.

Jack was born on November 26, 1944 in Camp, AR.  He was the son of John & Bertha Verdot.  He grew up in Thayer, MO graduating from high school there.  After graduating, he entered the United States Army and served in special forces in Vietnam.  He served over 20 years with the government and was awarded two Purple Hearts for his acts of valor.  He went on to work in HVAC, using skills he had learned from working with his family.  He worked on commercial projects with Michel’s in Ohio.

Jack moved to Missouri and met his wife, Leesa.  They were married on November 22, 2003 at Chapel of the Doves in Hollister.

Jack and Leesa traveled extensively in their motorhome while serving in the Deliverance ministry.  They reached people on both coasts and all across the United States sharing the love of Christ and freedom from spiritual darkness.  In 2014, they retired from their road travels but not from ministry and settled in Hollister.  The had also been involved in Campers for Christ, the congregations of the Grand Ole Gospel Hour and Sanctuary of Hope.

Jack will be deeply  missed by his wife, Leesa Verdot of Hollister; his son Ronnie Branscum of Rueter, numerous grandchildren and extended family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his children, Stephen and Angie; siblings, Jean, Gerald and Carl.

A celebration of his life will be held Friday, July 10, 2026 at 9:00 am in Snapp-Bearden Funeral Home & Crematory, Branson. Interment with military honors will follow in Missouri Veterans Cemetery, Springfield at 11:00 am.
