Gloria Y. Garner, 91, Kirbyville, passed away Friday, Dec. 13, 2024 at her home.  Services will be held Tuesday, Dec. 17, 2024 at 11 AM at the Snapp-Bearden Funeral Home and Crematory, Branson.  Pastor Chris McCullison will officiate with burial following in the Ozarks Memorial Park Cemetery, Branson.

Gloria Yvonne Garner was born May 27, 1933, in Carthage, Missouri to Wilfred and Serena (Read) Kizler.  She married Don Toney, and they were blessed with four children.  She lived from Wichita, KS., to California while living in Watsonville Calif., she worked as a computer operator for Fords Department Store until they closed then worked for Green Giant.  She lived in several towns in California including Fresno, Concord and Downey. She married Roy Garner on Nov. 21, 1992, in Santa Cruz, Calif. They moved to Kissee Mills MO They moved to Missouri in 1994. Gloria moved to Killeen and Houston Texas then back to Taney County in 2013 where she lived to be close to her children.

She attended the Friendship Freewill Baptist Church, Kirbyville. Gloria liked to read her bible faithfully and pass on her knowledge of the Bible to her grandchildren.  Every year she would go to visit family from coast to coast, enjoyed traveling.  It was always welcoming to see her grandchildren any time they came to visit.  Enjoyed quite times and liked to embroider. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband’s Don Toney and Roy Garner; two sons Don Toney and Thomas Toney and one brother Timothy Turk.

Gloria is survived by her children Rick Toney (Susie) of Branson, Cynthia Oawster (Nat) of Kirbyville, one brother J Lee Blake (Julie) of Florida, fourteen grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Tuesday from 10AM until service time at Snapp-Bearden Funeral Home and Crematory, Branson.
