Geneva Mae Norris

Funeral services for Geneva Norris, 88 of Republic, were held Friday, December 18, 2020 at 1:00 P.M.  in Snapp-Bearden Funeral Home and Crematory, Branson with Pastor Jarod Koenig officiating.  Burial followed in Ozarks Memorial Park Cemetery, Branson.  Mrs. Norris passed away Wednesday, December 16, 2020 at her home.

Geneva Mae Norris was born June 20, 1932 in Woodbine, Iowa the daughter of Elmer & Etta (Wade) Swift.  She attended and graduated from the Woodbine High School in 1950.  Geneva was a devoted wife and caring mother. She had worked for the Kellogg Cereal Company over twenty years as a machine operator, from which she retired in 1991.

Geneva and her husband Ron had retired to this area from Omaha, Nebraska and they had lived in Reeds Spring, Crane and Galena before moving to Republic.  Geneva loved both the summertime, growing flowers and working in her garden, and Christmas time being with family, decorating and celebrating.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Eugene and Elmer Swift and one sister, Verdene Jensen.

Geneva is survived by her husband Ronald Norris of Republic, daughter Diane Anderson and husband Jeffrey of Nixa; brother Lloyd Swift and wife Marilyn of Logan, IA; eleven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
