Galen Joe Beltz Obituary
Cherished husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend, Galen Beltz, entered into rest at the age of 84, on October 17, 2023 at his home surrounded by family.
Galen Joe Beltz was born January 24, 1939 in Harrington, Kansas to Jonas Joe Beltz and Mildred Francis (Hodson) Beltz. Galen grew up in Hollister and graduated from Hollister High School. On June 18, 1960, he married the love of his life Marilyn Jo Phillips in Pleasant Hill, Missouri. They lived in Kansas City where they raised their children and Galen worked for the Ford Motor Company. In 1991, Galen retired and he and Marilyn moved back to Hollister. Galen was a faithful witness and member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses. He loved the Ozarks and his family, and he will be greatly missed.
Galen was preceded in death by his parents, Jonas & Mildred Beltz and his daughter, Pamela Vyonne Maitland.
He leaves behind his wife, Marilyn Jo Beltz; sons, Randy Beltz and Kevin Beltz; brother, Larry Beltz; sister, Delores Hazell; his six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
The family will celebrate the wonderful life lived at Galen at a later date. Cremation arrangements were in the care of Snapp-Bearden Funeral Home & Crematory, Branson.
