Frederick Lowery Williams, Jr. was born on June 5, 1940 in St. Louis, Missouri. He was the son of Frederick Lowery Williams, Sr. and Margaret June (Roushlange) Williams. He and his first wife Suzanne had three daughters, Joanne, Stephanie and Christie. Fred worked as an audiologist and hearing aid specialist. He moved from Naylor, Missouri to Branson. In Branson and the surrounding communities, Fred would work in retirement centers, doing repairs and battery replacements in hearing aids for seniors. Fred was a member of Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church. He served as a greeter at the church and was also a member of the Knights of Columbus and Elks Lodge in Springfield. Fred was also an advocate for handicap accessibility in the Branson area.
Fred entered into rest on May 1, 2019 in Branson at the age of 78.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Suzanne; his second wife, Linda; and three sisters, Jessie Moss, Mary Catherine Williams, and Sarah Jane Hofstetter.
Fred is survived by his daughters, Jodie Rouse of Jackson, MO, Stephanie Farris of Branson and Christie Sousan of Branson; one sister, Margaret Moll of Licking, MO; five grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
A celebration of Fred’s life will be Thursday, May 9, 2019 at St. John Catholic Church in Licking, MO with visitation at 10:00 A.M. and Mass at 2:00 P.M.. His ashes will be taken to his family’s cemetery, Deer Creek Baptist Cemetery, in Sheridan, Kentucky.
