Fred Robert Harshbarger, 86, of Branson entered into rest on Feb. 16, 2021 at Forsyth Nursing and Rehab, Forsyth, Mo. Visitation will be held Tuesday, Feb. 23, 2021 from 11am till 12 pm at Snapp-Bearden Funeral Home and Crematory, Branson. Private burial will be at a later time in the Ozarks Memorial Park Cemetery, Branson.
Fred Harshbarger was born March 17, 1934 in Altoona, PA. He was the son of JE and Leta Harshbarger. Fred married Janet Crepeau on Feb. 11, 1955 at Boston, MA. They were blessed with three children.
Fred had served his country in the United States Navy. After his tour was over he established his family in Florida where he owned and operated Dunkin Donuts shops. He moved to the Branson area in 1990 where he owned and operated a retail store Branson Traders.
He enjoyed woodworking, making furniture and restoring cars. Fred was a member of the VFW.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a half-brother Jim and a sister Sue.
Fred is survived by his loving wife Janet of the home; two sons Fred Harshbarger, Jr. (Vickie) of Branson; Brian Harshbarger of Florida; one daughter Elaine Harshbarger (Mark Gonzalez) of Gilbert, Arizona; a half-brother Robert Harshbarger (Cheryl) of Altoona, Pennsylvania; a half-sister Ann of Florida; five grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
