Frank Allen Ridpath was born on March 21, 1949 in Monett, Missouri. He was the son of Charles E. Ridpath and Grace (Merritt) Ridpath. He graduated from Pierce City High School in Pierce City, Missouri in 1967. Later that year on October 28, 1967 he married Sheila Fisher in Pierce City. He started his 55-year career as a meat-cutter in the supermarket business at Town & County in Pierce City when he was 18 years old. Frank took a break from meat cutting for a time and worked as a police officer for Pierce City and also did refrigeration work. He returned to the grocery business working for Ramey’s in Monett before moving to Hollister in 1986 to work for Consumers Market in Branson. Frank later worked for Glen’s Supermarket in Forsyth, MO and Country Mart in Hollister, MO in the meat department.
Frank enjoyed boating and working in his garden, especially growing delicious tomatoes. He liked to watch a good western and play his guitar. He will be deeply missed by his family and all who knew him.
Frank entered into rest on Sunday, July 5, 2020 at Mercy Hospital in Springfield at the age of 71.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one daughter, Tracy Ridpath.
Frank is survived by his wife, Sheila Ridpath of Hollister; daughters, Trish Ridpath-Davis of Kirbyville, Tabby Henrichson (Jesse) of Fremont, NE and Tasha Baker (Tyler) of Doe Run, MO; one brother, Jack Ridpath (Becky) of Roscommon, MI; sister, Terry Piper of Canada; twelve grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
A celebration of Frank’s life will be Wednesday, July 8, 2020 at 1:00 P.M. at Mincy Full Gospel Church in Kirbyville, MO with Pastor Scott Coffelt officiating. Visitation will precede the service, beginning at 12:00 P.M. on Wednesday at the church.
